Classic electronic Live Act performance is always difficult. Synthesizers are big, expensive and heavy to transport.

Playing on synthesizer and midi keyboard live is difficult. Only few producers are accomplished piano players with good rhythmic hearing. Also the path length of the piano key is long so it is difficult to play in the rhythm of fast electronic music.

This approach results in a “fake” Live-Act. We call it “Come see my laptop”. The performer just clicks a play button and pretends to play live.

That is often ridiculed by party people who call it an embarrassing theater. On top of that, DJ sets do not lack of real-time crowd interaction compared to live music concerts

Easy to play

With external controller buttons you can play FXs and sounds very easily – the buttons’ path length and latency is very short – so it doesn’t matter if you are not experienced in rhythms – it always sounds good. Just click a key and kill the dancefloor crowd with FX, Lasers, Bombs, Risers, Soundscapes – show them when the hit is coming, when a riser is ending and follow a heavy drop destroying the whole dancefloor. This will make a true electronic rockstar out of you!

Fast and responsive touchscreen display

Control all parameters, draw your own oscillator / LFO waveforms or change presets at a finger stroke thanks to our high-res responsive touchscreen display. This is very practical if you’re travelling from party to party. To speed up your work in a studio, you can connect PC mouse, keyboard, HDMI monitor etc.

Constantly expanding

With classic synth you’re buying just one hardware with limited sound capabilities. The Ampethron portable allows you to insert another new synthesizer algorithms with a USB key! So with just one hardware kit you’re able to install/insert many new synthesizers into it. We are going to publish many new additional synthesizers in the future – one example is our EFXPLODE synth which can be purchased and embedded into the Ampethron portable device.

Ampethron weights only 630g (22oz) and it’s as small as 22*15*6 cm (8.5*5.8*2.4 inches). It’s extremely portable; you can pack it into a small hand luggage, together with your laptop, and transport it by airplane easily.

Connect Ampethron to any DJ mixer with two RCA (cinch) cables in two seconds! In studio, if you want to make some presets, for instance, you can connect it to additional MIDI keyboard, PC mouse & keyboard, HDMI monitor and other devices.

Designed for creative Live-Acts / DJ sets

Just connect Ampethron to DJ mixer with a Phone (audio jack) to RCA (cinch) cable and play! Create LIVE “remixes” of your songs. Hundreds of new FX sounds can significantly enrich your Live-Acts and DJ sets.

FXs, Risers, Down filters, Explosions, Speaking voices, Soundscapes, Pads… everything is possible with Ampethron! Simply use gestures to communicate with your crowd, show them when a big drop is coming, for example with an FX Riser effect. You know exactly when the riser is starting and finishing because it is you who controls the buttons and knobs.

Ampethron FX+ synth is the primary synthesizer installed in every Ampethron portable device. It includes both classic and futuristic / innovative algorithms of sound synthesis allowing you to create FX sounds and soundscapes you have never heard before.
